Lawrence Liszewski, M.S., D.O.
Dr.
Liszewski recently joined our medical staff at the Allergy & Environmental
Treatment Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He
received his medical training and degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern
University-Chicago. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He also holds a
Master of Science Degree in Microbiology and Public Health from Michigan State
University, East Lansing, Michigan. His undergraduate training was in pre-med at
Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He has practiced in the Valley for over 10 years
and is affiliated with several Valley hospitals. His practice covers a broad
patient base including children, adolescents, young and middle-aged adults as
well as the geriatric population.
Dr. Liszewski’s scope of practice includes
hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, and various musculoskeletal disorders.
He does have a special interest in environmentally related illnesses and
diseases.
Dr. Liszewski is a member of several state and
national professional organizations and he is currently a state delegate for the
Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Liszewski is fervent about helping people
successfully address their allergy symptoms, utilizing state of the art
allergy testing and treatment modalities so that they may lead a healthy and
productive lifestyle. Dr. Liszewski’s philosophy of health care is early
detection, prevention, and early intervention in order to prevent serious and
life-threatening illnesses. He is an advocate of a proactive healthcare
treatment plan which includes patient, physician, and various support systems as
dictated by each individual’s health care needs. Dr. Liszewski’s background,
experience, and expertise bring to our Clinic an important aspect of
comprehensive integrated healthcare.

as an individual and individualizing the healing protocols that are necessary
and integral to good health and a true sense of well being.

Sharon Gwozdek, R.N., B.S.N
Sharon is
passionate about her work and the outcomes she achieves by helping people find relief from their allergy symptoms. Her motto: “Seek a Solution – Not a System!”.
She has worked with corporations, school systems, and government to
educate their employees on "How to incorporate a healthier lifestyle". In
addition, she has given numerous lectures on all aspects of health, disease, and
environmental issues to healthcare professionals at hospitals and to professional organizations and
other interested groups.
Sharon is a graduate
of The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor School of Nursing. Subsequent to her
graduation, she continued
her education with advanced training in Environmental Medicine under the direction of Dr. William J. Rea, an internationally known and respected physician, educator and authority in all
aspects of environmental health and disease.
After completing
her advanced Environmental Medicine course work through The American Academy of Environmental Medicine,
she applied her knowledge and experience and trained in the development of preservative-free antigens
and developed an essential skill using these antigens regarded as one of the BEST in allergy testing utilizing state-of-the-art allergy testing methods.

Ruey Hwa Yang, C.R.N.P. Nurse Practitioner
Ruey earned her BS in nursing at Arizona
State University in Tempe in the early 70's. In 1980, after several years of
nursing practice, she went on to complete her Master's work from the University
of California, Los Angeles with a major in Primary Care Medicine in an
ambulatory environment to become a Nurse Practitioner. In that capacity,
she worked for USC and Kaiser Permanente in California, and FHP and North
Phoenix Medical Center in Arizona.
Ruey is an experienced, highly skilled
nurse practitioner adept at acute care, preventive medicine, and care for
chronic illness. She is a valued member of our medical team.

Rochelle Kirkey, LPN
Rochelle earned her Associates Degree and LPN designation from Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona in 1997. Rochelle's career spanned 22 years with a private OB/GYN practice prior to joining the AETC Medical Team. The knowledge and skills Rochelle acquired from her health care experiences are invaluable to AETC and its patients. From administration to practical nursing skills, Rochelle is a valued member of our medical team. A long time resident of Arizona, Rochelle is an avid reader and loves the outdoors and hiking.

Ronnie Welch, LPN
Ronnie
recently joined us here at the Allergy & Environmental Treatment Center
and quickly distinguished herself as a valued member of our medical
team. She is a highly skilled and competent Licensed Practical Nurse
whose depth of experience at hospitals, clinics and physician offices
gives her an unique perspective greatly appreciated by co-workers and
patients alike. Ronnie’s day consists of assisting with nursing
duties, preparation of antigens and various administrative functions as
necessary.
A valley resident for the last 17 years, Ronnie came originally from
Connecticut where she received her nurses training.

Cassie Weber, LPN
Cassie Weber joined our medical team in
May 2011. She earned her Associates Degree and LPN designation from the
Fayetteville Technical Community College in 2009 during her husband’s
service with the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge from the Army, they
returned to Arizona.
She
expects to complete her B.S. Degree in 2012 from the Western Governors’
University, an on-line college program for working adults.
While
Cassie’s initial work was in a General Medicine setting, her primary
interest is specializing in the care, treatment and education of allergy
patients.
You can
expect to find Cassie preparing antigens, conducting testing and
educating patients on the ins and outs of managing their treatment
protocols. She is a firm believer in patient education and its
beneficial impact on patient health and well-being. |

Laura McKay, BS - Health Educator
Laura is our Health Education instructor for various programs
that are offered here at the clinic.
Specifically, Laura...

Works one-on-one with patients to develop a workable meal planning strategy
designed to mitigate their particular food allergies.

Educates patients one-on-one and in group settings about rotary
diets and the avoidance of allergenic foods
-
Locates food products to accommodate individualized food allergy
menu plans

Functions as
the "go to" resource for answers to patient questions concerning
meal planning and rotational dieting.

Provides
encouragement to patients that fosters compliance while creating an
atmosphere for success.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from
Arizona State University in Exercise Science and Wellness. Her
practical experience and enthusiastic delivery as an educator is unique
and refreshing.

Jana Bonifasi, Billing Manager
With over 10 years of experience as a Medical Billing Manager, Jana is
responsible for The Allergy Environmental Treatment Center's billing department
as well as the administration of our clinic's healthcare compliance
requirements. She is a certified medical coding and healthcare compliance
expert.
Jana is highly regarded by our patients as an
excellent resource in assisting them as they navigate various insurance and
billing issues associated with their care.
