  • Occasional, unexpected behavioral problems
  • Hyperactivity
  • Not doing well in school
  • Sore throat

  • Asthma
  • Difficulty playing outside in sports and games
  • Experiencing difficulties around pets
  • Your child need not suffer needlessly.

The Allergy & Environmental Treatment Center, LLC accepts patients age 8 and older.

Our physician conducts a very thorough health history and physical as it relates to allergies to establish a baseline health status for your child. Once completed, his evaluation provides a treatment plan required to help your child find relief.

We recognize that each situation is unique and must be evaluated thoroughly within the context of your child’s environment to ensure an accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan designed to minimize or eradicate your child’s symptoms altogether.

We are also mindful that any encounter with a physician in a clinic setting can be stressful to both you and your child. Consequently, we advocate an orientation for both you and your child prior to actual allergy testing. We invite you to sit in on an actual testing session ahead of your first appointment. This eliminates the natural fear and apprehension experienced by you and your child when exposed to the procedure for the first time. Your child will see that it is a rather benign experience in a calm and comfortable setting.

Testing will allow us to identify the allergens that are causing symptoms to your child’s well being. With this information, we will develop a treatment plan designed to return your child to a vibrant and healthy childhood, mitigating the symptoms that were robbing him of his potential.

Video: The Allergy Testing Process

The following video will provide you with an overview of the testing process we use here at AETC. We suggest that you and your child view this video prior to your visit. It will answer most of your questions about how this testing is done.

Case Study #1: 10 Year-old Boy

A 10 year old boy was calm while the testing process began and for quite some time. However as we began testing the child for wheat, his behavior changed immediately. He became irritable, walking in and out of the testing room, and interrupting people. Mom stated that this is the way he behaves when he eats pizza at home. Pizza has a wheat crust. When we found the treatment dose for wheat, he then began to settle down.

Case Study #2: 8 Year-old Girl

An 8 year old girl was tested with a particular mold mixture. She actually fell asleep for 45 minutes until we determined her treatment dose. Once her testing was completed, she was placed on a treatment plan that eventually allowed her to focus more on her school work and activities.

Case Study #3: 9 Year-old Boy

A 9 year old child, with very few friends, arrived at the clinic with his mother and could be heard in every corner of the building. He was loud and had a difficult time controlling his behavior. In addition, he sometimes performed poorly in school. Our testing found him to be sensitive to many foods with corn being the most offensive. After treatment, his behavior moderated to the point that you were unaware that he was in the clinic. With our help and recommendations, mom made great efforts to work with his diet to help him avoid his allergenic foods. Her efforts paid off with a well-behaved and calm child.
